The chalet is superbly located, very close to the centre of the town and very convenient for access to the slopes - its no more than a couple of minutes. The chalet has amazing views of Le Pleney, a very comfortable lounge area and everything you need in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. All in all, I would highly recommend Chalet Verjus to anyone looking for luxury accomodation in the centre of Morzine, you will not be disappointed.

The Chalet is excellent, nice comfy rooms, plenty of hot water for après ski muscle easing and a good sized living room to lounge about in before tea. Perfectly located in the centre of town gave easy access to lifts, bars and shops (I’m not a fan of walking!). Breakfast and tea were great although I have to say Susan’s poached eggs were marginally better than Carol’s but both set me up nicely for a day on the mountain.
Susan, Carol and Sophie put the hard work in, without question, to keep us all fed and watered and point us in the right direction around town. Whilst Susan and Carol took turns to shepherd us around the pistes and throw us headlong into the difficult stuff (ta!) all ably assisted by Miss Pistepals herself when she could manage to get out of bed early enough. Although in fairness that was probably our fault for keeping her up ‘socialising’ until the early hours and she should be thanked for keeping tabs on us in the bars and knowing her way around Morzine in the dark.
So glad I checked out the Pistepals website and came across this gem of a holiday. It’s always a little unnerving stepping into the unknown with these ‘Solos’ Holidays, but I couldn’t have asked for a better group, chalet and set of hosts.
Thanks all. Hope to see you again soon.
Oh and let’s not forget who won at Monopoly!

| | Date: | Wed 27 Jan 2010 14:32:41 GMT | | Subject: | Jan 16th - 23rd, 2010 | | | I found out about Chalet Verjus through PistePals.com (thanks to the legend that is Sarah Saunders) - a solo ski holiday site. My usual ski buddies weren’t able to make it this year, yet I still wanted to ski. So although initially I was a bit tentative about going solo, I threw caution to the wind and booked a week in Morzine anyway. I'm so glad I did!
The chalet’s amazing, beautifully constructed in pine, with all the facilities you'd expect and more; great views, extremely warm and comfortable, perfectly located with shops and the lifts a short walk away, and a great bar: Cafe Chaud, next door.... *result*.
Susan (owner), Carol (Susan's sister) were amazing hosts, not only keeping us laughing and inspiring great conversations, but they kept the place spotless, prepared some great breakfasts and meals, and kept us nicely watered with a variety of beverages. Added to this, they acted as brilliant hands on ski guides across the whole Portes du Soleil circuit, and when possible, joined us when we ventured out for après ski. A big thank you must also go to Sophie, who cooked some incredible evening meals for us. What can I say?... Sophie’s not only a fascinating chat, but one of the most talented chefs you're ever likely to experience.
Everyone in the chalet really hit it off, we pretty much skied together all week and we had many laughs throughout the days and evenings. Morzine has plenty to offer, a variety of shops, nice restaurants, lively bars and everyone seems helpful and friendly.
I can honestly say my week at Chalet Verjus, Morzine was one of the best ski holidays I’ve ever had, and I’m sure I’ll be returning again in the near future.

The group were mixed ability, and very mixed characters, but the atmosphere was fantastic, great friends were made, the skiing and the apres ski was everything you could want.
I enjoyed it so much, i wished for a cancelled flight and ended up staying an extra 2 nights, and ive already booked for March!!!

Ian the owner is a lovely guy with a great sense of humour, the chalet is gorgeous and in a more than convenient location and i even got to sample some of the lovely food that was served there. i would highly recommend the chalet to all types of traveller in particular solo travellers who can take advantage of the solo weeks which i stumbled into who attract a myriad of strange and loveable people of different ski abilities who are not only good company but many of which will ski with each other to make an enjoyable and unforgettable ski experience.

| | Date: | Fri 03 Apr 2009 13:59:54 BST | | Subject: | Pistepals Chalet Verjus Morzine | | | What a great holiday. Morzine has everything you could wish for in a skiing destination. The Morzine and Les Gets slopes are diverse and interesting, with some very pretty runs winding through the trees. The Avoriaz side of the valley, particularly towards Les Crosets has wide pistes, lots of off piste areas and stunning panoramic views, not to be missed on a sunny day. The location of the chalet in the centre of the town is perfect; and coming back from the plenny slopes one day we even managed to ski to within a couple of hundred yards of the chalet. (Through the trees and down the side of the children’s playground.) The chalet is new and clean and beautifully laid out. Sophie and Becky's endlessly smiling faces and superbly prepared food set a standard in chalet hosting that others should aspire to. Chalet Verjus is definitely on my return to list. | | | | | |

I would highly reccomend Morzine as a centrally located base for easy access to Morzine Ski area, Le Gets and Avoriaz as well as the Swiss resorts which all offer fantastic skiing and boarding.
Chalet Verjus is a fantasic new chalet with an amazing view of the Plenney slopes though a huge wall of glass, very comfortable and well positioned in Morzine for both Plenny Lift %26 the Super Morzine Lift.
If I can get the time next season I'll definately look at staying on another solo week at Chalet Verjus.
Thanks again for your hospitality.
